This exhibition explores the meanings of monsters in cultural history. Imaginary creatures like mermaids, dragons, griffons, and unicorns have been imagined in different ways in Europe, the Middle East and East Asia. In Europe and the Middle East, they are marvelous while in East Asia they are uncanny.
