I will introduce a walking route from Himeji Castle to Hyogo Prefectural Museum of History. Please enjoy a unique view from inside the castle. Start from Himeji Castle Sannomaru Square.

Walk through the old stone walls of Shimoyamazato in connection with Kuroda Kanbei and look up at the highest stone wall in the castle “Obinoyagura”. If you go north along Uchibori, you will arrive at the museum. At last, the view from the sky widens.

*For the time being, the route from the garden of Tenshu to the old stone wall is closed to traffic. Please take a route to go north along the east side of the castle from Sannomaru Square. (As of August 2020)
